Welcome to the Day 1 of Hoop Boot Camp. HBC is about community, support, growth and adventure, so we are very grateful that we can share it with you.

Whether you begin with us on August 1, 2009 or you pick this up at another time congratulations goes to you for being a positive activist. Making changes in our lives is all about taking action and what better time to start making changes then now. The 30 Day Hoop Boot Camp had been created to get us all moving and grooving (so even as you are reading this be preparing yourself for today’s hoop action and scanning your goals).
Today will be all about starting positive routines. There is a reason why the phrase JUST DO IT is so popular. Today is the just do it day, set up your routines, allow the excitement of starting a new challenge help you flow through your day doing all the things you said you would (or wouldn’t). Enjoy the newness, the time and attention you give to your self, your hooping and your happiness today. A new day, a fresh start.
While you are sorting out your fresh routine today we are dedicating this first post to making sure you know all about HBC (so this is a bit of a long one but we know you will kick into action as soon as you are done reading).
If you are a member of the Hoop Boot Camp group on the Hoop Lovers Hang Out and receiving the daily updates or you are following this via the blog you will notice that each day brings a new lathering of inspiration. Over the course of 30 days we are going to explore an extensive range of proactive ways to create changes, raise consciousness, boost confidence and sculpt ourselves physically and emotionally.
Each day, for 30 days, you will be presented with a new topic; many of which have been chosen based on hooper’s goals, questions and curiosity. Included in each day’s package will be helpful tips, thought and action provoking activities, visuals, a positive affirmation to use and an inspirational quote. In addition, each topic will be added to the Hoop Boot Camp group discussion board so that you can share your thoughts and ideas about the given topic at any time.
No matter where you are in the world, in your hooping journey or your self-transformation we can be certain that you will find something helpful each day. Remember sharing your success, feelings and questions helps everyone.
To receive the most positive benefits available to you we suggest that you kick start your Hoop Boot Camp journey by setting some goals. Feel free to add your goals to the Hoop Boot Camp group. Goals are best achieved when regularly revised. Keep them somewhere visible and use them as a daily guide to success and work/play positively towards them.
Gratitude Journals are a powerful way to switch off the negative inner activity, even if just for a short moment each day. Reading our own and others adds abundant levels of joy and calm to our lives as we focus on a higher vibrational feeling – gratitude. A community Gratitude Journal has been added to the Hoop Boot Camp group and we encourage you all to use it and share.
Tracking your progress via a journal, chart, blog, video diary etc is a wonderful way to boost your confidence and remain focussed. Sharing your progress with others is a powerful step, destined to reap rewards.
Although Hoop Boot Camp features in quite a few spots online, it is certainly not our intention to keep you plastered to this screen. We want you out and about, doing, creating, adventuring, shifting (just promise to stop in and say hi! every few days at least, we would love to hear how you are going and it keeps us all motivated.)

Today’s post is a long one with lots of info about the program but don’t let us keep you any longer, now is a really good time to run off whip up that smoothie, do you 10 minute hoop drill, start working on a routine or what ever it is that you have decided to take action on. GO, enjoy!

Action of the day: Today is JUST DO IT day, so take a look at the goals you set and just do them! See how it feels for you, make some notes mental or otherwise about your activities today and be prepared to readjust your goals at anytime.

Yay! I think that I am just going to start this as day one, even though I am still technically not in August quiet yet. It should just make things easier, plus, I am already in the HBC state of mind.
